Why Your Project Needs a Wetland Delineation

Wetlands and streams are often regulated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and altering them in any way can create enormous legal liability, financial consequences, and project delays. Understanding the presence and extent of regulated waters on your project site is a critical first step in responsible and compliant land development. Failing to identify and address wetlands early on can lead to significant delays, costly redesigns, and potential legal penalties.
Wetland delineations performed by a professional provides you with the essential information to:
-
Maximize Usable Land
-
Avoid Costly Delays and Penalties
-
Optimize Site Planning and Design
-
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
-
Facilitate the Permitting Process
-
Demonstrate Environmental Responsibility

What Our Clients Are Saying
"As a homebuilder, our land development pipeline is the most critical part of our business, and Wildland services continue to be a chosen partner for us. Their expertise in the field, timeliness and professionalism make them and unmatched provider in the market. Probably one of the biggest benefits, which shows how highly they are regarded in the market, is their relationships with all of the local municipalities and officials. They always know who to call to keep things on track and our projects moving forward on time.”
Daniel Holland, Owner of Holland Homes
"As a civil engineer working with clients on undeveloped sites, one of the first things I ask is: “Have you done a wetland and stream delineation yet?” We can’t begin to provide a design on a site that maximizes the client’s vision and needs without first having that information to understand what we’re working with and what the potential challenges are. Time is always a critical aspect of the development of a design and we generally need the delineation information quickly. We encourage our clients to get the folks at Wildlands involved as soon as possible because of their responsiveness, quality of work, and promptness of delivery of the information we need to do our job."
